ESP LTD Mirage Deluxe 87 Rainbow Crackle

The ESP LTD '87 series offers more affordable electric guitar models based on the ESP guitar design from 1987. It was during this period that the ESP brand fully came to the attention of the wider musician community.

The MIRAGE DELUXE '87 RAINBOW CRACKLE builds on the original design of the ESP Mirage Super ST models. The body of the instrument is made of alder. A three-piece maple neck with a narrow, fast Extra Thin U profile is bolted to an ebony makassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers.

The combination of two passive Seymour Duncan pickups, i.e. the Distortion model and the "Strat style" Hot Rails single-coil humbucker (the manufacturer specifies single-coil) with high output signal, provides the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness, dynamics and precise articulation for singing solos or chord breakdowns, as well as density and aggressiveness for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. As a result, the instrument can be used in a wide range of musical genres, not just modern rock and metal. Standard sound adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The Push/Pull tone shutter function can split the humbucker coils to achieve a single-coil sound.

The strings are mounted in the company's tuning machines and in a Floyd Rose 1000 double-reverse tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the Rainbow Crackle colour scheme and the characteristic Mirage features of the flat top body and pointed headstock with 6-in-line mechanics.
