The ESP LTD Black Metal series offers electric guitars in comparable quality of workmanship to the LTD Deluxe "1000" series, from which they differ in minimalist control and above all in the uncompromising dark black design of all components. Thus, it is aimed at players of extreme metal genres who are looking for a guitar with a really dark design that would represent them with dignity in terms of sound.
The M-HT Black Metal BLKS belongs to the M (Mirage) series of guitars, easily identified by the flat top body and pointed headstock with 6-in-line mechanics. The instrument's body construction consists of alder wings and a through-neck made of three pieces of maple with a narrow fast Extra Thin U profile. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. Position markers, luminescent dots and anything that would interfere with the dark concept are not found on the guitar.
The Blackened Black Winter passive humbucker offers good distortion, a high output signal and a typically cool "Scandinavian" tone. The needs of metal players are also catered for with a strict control in the form of a single volume potentiometer equipped with a Push/Pull (Coil-Split) function, so you can simply change the humbucker's sound character to single-coil in a second.
The strings are mounted in the company's high quality locking mechanisms and Hipshot tailpiece with string anchoring through the body. Hardware and company logo on the headstock in dark black accentuate the stylish design of the instrument.
