The JM-II BLACK SHADOW BURST electric guitar is the signature model of Josh Middleton of the British metal/metalcore outfits Sylosis and Architects. The alder body of the guitar is decorated with a flame maple top with a nice wood grain enhanced by a spectacular colour finish. A three-piece "Roasted Maple" neck is bolted to an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by offset position markers.
Two Fishman Fluence Modern active humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets give the guitar a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and, if needed, a good dose of punch/aggressiveness. The Push/Pull function of the tone control allows you to switch between voicings - the guitar's sonic arsenal is much wider than it might first appear. A three-position pickup switch completes the controls as standard.
The strings are held in the company's locking tuning machines (LTD Locking) and through a fixed Gotoh TOM bridge through the body of the guitar. The instrument comes in a carrying case.
