The ESP LTD '87 series offers more affordable electric guitar models based on the ESP guitar design from 1987. It was during this period that the ESP brand fully came to the attention of the wider musician community.
The ECLIPSE 87 PW is a guitar with a domed top and a construction consisting of mahogany wings and a three-piece maple neck. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the Ebony Macassar fingerboard. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position blocks.
The combination of Seymour Duncan's JB (B) and '59 (N) humbuckers provides the sound with a balanced balance of aggression and warmth, as well as the necessary fullness, dynamics and precise articulation for singing solos or chordal breakdowns. The guitar can thus be used in a wide range of genres, not just metal and rock. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. The Push/Pull tone shutter function allows you to split the pickup coils and change the character of the humbuckers to single-coil in seconds.
The strings are mounted in the company's tuning machines and in a Floyd Rose 1000 double-reverse tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever. The stylish look is accentuated by the contrast of the white body and black hardware.
