The ESP LTD Black Metal series offers electric guitars in comparable quality of workmanship to the LTD Deluxe "1000" series, from which they differ in minimalist control and above all in the uncompromising dark black design of all components. Thus, it is aimed at players of extreme metal genres who are looking for a guitar with stylish design and properly sharpened sound for a worthy presentation on concert stages and studio recordings.
The single-cut body of the EC-FR BLACK METAL BLACK SATIN is made of mahogany. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets.
The Blackened Black Winter passive humbucker offers good distortion, a high output signal and a typically cool "Scandinavian" tone, which you can change to a single-coil character thanks to the volume knob's Push/Pull function. The strings are mounted in high-quality Grover tuning machines and a Floyd Rose 1000 double-reverse tremolo to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever.
