The ESP LTD EC 200DX electric guitars with rock single-cut (LP) design are well crafted instruments that offer all the important elements of the EC series at a price affordable to a wide range of buyers, including young beginners.
The flat poplar body with rounded edges of the EC-200DX BLUE BURST model is adorned with a spectacular veneer of flamed maple top. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets is glued to a bolted roasted maple neck. Position dots on the fingerboard facilitate orientation.
Two proprietary passive humbuckers give the guitar an aggressive sound suitable for contemporary rock and metal music, as well as a pure single-coil feel (thanks to the ability to split the humbucker coils). The strings are anchored in the company's tuning machines and through the TOM tailpiece in the stringers. The stylish finish is accentuated by the Blue Burst color scheme and black chrome hardware.
