EC-1000 electric guitars are part of the LTD Deluxe series. Their tone, design, workmanship and playing characteristics fully correspond to professional instruments. Specifically, the Piezo models break the conventional standard by combining two Seymour Duncan active pickups and a Fishman sub-coil piezo pickup. The guitar is thus able to produce an unprecedentedly diverse range of tones with completely different dynamics, i.e. from almost acoustic tones to thick distortion. An added lever switch lets you choose between humbucker sounds, piezo pickups and combinations of the two.
The body of the guitar is made of mahogany with a fancy top veneer of flamed maple. The binding around the body, neck and headstock contrasts well with the instrument's color scheme. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeply into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation is traditionally facilitated by mother-of-pearl position blocks. The strings are mounted in the company's quality LTD Locking tuning machines on one side, and in the stringers on the other. The black hardware and logo on the headstock accentuate the guitar's stylish appearance.
