The EC-1000 electric guitars with the characteristic rock LP body shape are part of the LTD Deluxe series. The mahogany body of the EC-1000ET BB BLACK SATIN features a maple top and Black Satin finish. The BB (Bold Binding) in the name refers to the fancy silver perimeter binding. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, while also providing density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled metal/core riffs. Standard adjustments include two volume knobs, a tone shield and a three-position pickup switch. The Push/Pull tone shutter function allows you to split the neck pickup coils and change the character of the humbucker to single-coil in seconds.
Precise and stable tuning is guaranteed by the string attachment in the Grover tuning machines and the Evertune model F tailpiece, which compensates for string tension during plucking and sharper playing, ensuring the guitar stays in tune in all conditions.
