The EC-1000 PIEZO guitar is the most innovative and versatile instrument in this series, featuring stereo output for magnetic and piezo pickups.
A solid mahogany single-cut body with a flamed maple top is adorned with triple white binding. The neck, composed of three pieces of mahogany, is set deep into the body (set-thru), which brings benefits such as longer sustain, brighter tone, more comfortable access to higher positions and better stability. The Ebony Macassar fingerboard is fitted with 24 frets and mother-of-pearl inlays. Precise and stable tuning is ensured by LTD mechanics and a Fishman Powerbridge TOM headstock.
It is the Fishman fingerboard in conjunction with the electronics that makes this guitar a truly exceptional instrument with a wide sonic range. The pickup set into the headstock offers an acoustic tone character that can be used alone or in combination with Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The classic three-position switch dedicated to magnetic pickups is thus complemented by an additional three-position switch for choosing between piezo and humbuckers. But that's not all. Alongside the normal mono jack output for the magnetic pickups is a stereo output that mixes the signals of both pickups. These signals can also be output separately using two mono cables.
