ESP LTD BW-1 is a signature model of semi-hollowbody electric guitar by Ben Weinman, guitarist of the American band The Dillinger Escape Plan. It is definitely not a standard jazz lubo.
The guitar's construction consists of a chambered mahogany body, a fancy figured maple top and a through-neck made of three pieces of maple with a narrower Thin U fast profile. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks in the original design.
Two active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets provide the guitar with a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and, if needed, a sufficient amount of punch/aggressiveness. The sound qualities of the instrument can be appreciated in a wide range of musical genres - from jazz to metal. The flexibility of the Fishman pickups is accentuated by the Push/Pull function of the tone control, which allows you to switch between active and passive electronics. Precise and stable tuning is guaranteed by the string attachment in the company's locking mechanics and Evertune model F tailpiece, which compensates for string tension during plucking and sharper playing, ensuring the guitar stays in tune in all conditions. Traditional semi-hollowbody features are represented by a bright band encircling the entire body of the guitar and a black pickguard.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
