The ESP E-II series are electric guitars made in factories in Japan, forming a bridge between the top ESP USA models and the more affordable LTD line. These are instruments made with quality materials and components that not only look great, but sound great too.
This electric guitar impresses at first glance with its simple design with a single pickup in the bridge position. The body of the guitar is made of alder. A three-piece maple neck with a narrower U profile is joined by an ebony fingerboard with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by pearl position markers.
The active EMG humbucker provides the instrument's sound with the fullness, precise articulation and aggressiveness needed for vocal solos, fast guitar shred and sharply hewn rock and metal riffs. The strings are secured in the solid Gotoh TOM tailpiece and through the body of the instrument. Other quality components used include Gotoh locking mechanisms or Schaller rollers.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
