The ESP E-II series are electric guitars made in factories in Japan, forming a bridge between the top ESP USA models and the more affordable LTD line. These are instruments made with quality materials and components that not only look great, but sound great too.
The E-II Horizon NT-II electric guitar impresses at first glance with its impressive Tiger Eye Amber Fade finish contrasting with the white body and headstock binding. The body of the instrument itself is made of mahogany and the impressive top is made of flamed maple. Glued to the three-piece maple neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, and a narrower fast Thin U profile is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by offset position markers.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, while also providing density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. Controls in the form of two volume potentiometers, a tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch offer complete control over the sound of the pickups. In addition, the Push/Pull function of the volume knobs lets you split the coils of both pickups to combine the humbucker sound with a single-coil or set a pure single-coil character.
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in the high-quality Gotoh Locking tuning machines and in the solid Gotoh TOM tailpiece with string anchoring through the body. The range of quality used components is complemented by Schaller's safety strap locks.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
