Epiphone SG electric guitars in double-cut design are a more affordable alternative to the originals with the Gibson logo. The limited edition SG Standard 60s Dark Wine Red model is a pure homage to the original SG guitars of the 1960s.
The mahogany body of the guitar is adorned with a Dark Wine Red finish. The mahogany neck with a "SlimTaper" profile is glued to a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. The fingerboard orientation is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl.
Two factory ProBucker humbuckers with Alnico II magnets successfully emulate the sound of PAF pickups. They give the guitar a full, warm tone that you'll appreciate with both clean and rock-distorted sound. Its character can be adjusted as standard with two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. Waxing the pickups ensures satisfying playing without annoying feedback and hum.
Stable tuning is ensured by mounting the strings in the company's tuning machines with an 18:1 gear ratio and via the LockTone TOM bridge in the strings. The stylish finish is accentuated by nickel hardware and a black pickguard.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
