Epiphone's Les Paul electric guitars have been a more affordable alternative to Gibson originals for decades. The Les Paul Standard range offers LP-shaped guitars in their most classic form - in the case of the Standard 50s, a return to the feel and tone of 1950s guitars.
The mahogany body of the Les Paul Standard 50s Heritage Cherry Sunburst is adorned with a carved maple top and AAA-quality flamed maple veneer. Glued to the mahogany neck with 50s Rounded Medium C profile is a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks.
Two factory ProBucker humbuckers with Alnico II magnets successfully emulate the sound of PAF pickups. They give the guitar a full, warm tone that you'll appreciate with both clean and rock-distorted sound. Its character can be adjusted as standard with two volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. Waxing the pickups ensures satisfying playing without annoying feedback and hum.
Fast, accurate tuning and good sustain are provided by Epiphone Vintage Deluxe 18:1 ratio gears and a fully adjustable Locktone Tune-o-matic stringed tailpiece. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by the single-ply pickguard, cream body binding and headstock logo.
