Epiphone electric guitars are a more affordable alternative to the original Gibson logo guitars. The Epiphone Prophecy line turns to the present instead of the past, offering modern instruments in classic LP, SG, Flying and Extura/Explorer body designs that embrace the year of manufacture and trends in guitar design.
The mahogany body of the Les Paul Prophecy Aged Jet Black Metallic model is covered by a Maple top and AAA-quality maple veneer. More modern features are represented by the body lightening/chambering (Ultra Modern Weight Relief) and the asymmetrical Slim Taper neck profile, which provides the left hand with the comfort needed to move easily and quickly on the fingerboard. The ebony fingerboard itself is fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by position blocks with embedded pieces of genuine mother-of-pearl (Abalone).
The custom-built Fishman Fluence Epiphone Prophecy humbuckers offer three different sound settings - the warm tone of a vintage PAF humbucker, the modern sound of active humbuckers with a higher output signal, and the optimized sound of single-coil pickups. Switch between modes using the volume and tone controls with push/pull functions (Volume - coil-split, Tone - Vintage/Modern).
The strings are anchored via the NuBone zero fret in Grover Locking Rotomatics locking mechanisms and LockTone TOM tailpiece and stringers. Aged Gloss finish, bright perimeter body binding and brushed nickel hardware accentuate the nice workmanship.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
