Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V Purple Metallic

Electric Guitar / HN268035
Fans of Metallica probably don't need any introduction to Kirk Hammett's 1979 Gibson Flying V. He's played countless shows with this guitar and its sound is captured on every recording from Kill 'Em All to The Black Album. The Signature model Epiphone Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V is a more affordable replica of the original. The instrument was made in collaboration with Gibson Custom Shop.

The mahogany body of the guitar is covered in a gloss lacquer. Glued to the mahogany neck is a figwood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by pearl position dots. Two Gibson USA Calibrated T-Type humbuckers take care of the instrument's sound system. You can adjust the character of the sound using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch.

The strings are mounted in Grover Rotomatics tuning machines and through a custom tailpiece in the stringers. The stylish finish is accentuated by nickel hardware, a white three-ply 70s Flying V pickguard and the KH logo on the back of the headstock.

The guitar comes in a case.
