The Epiphone brand offers more affordable acoustic and electroacoustic guitars based on the Dreadnought and Jumbo concepts.

Body and neck

The Epiphone J-45EC Studio Solid Top Fishman Presys-II EB has a solid spruce front plate, while the back plate and sides are made of laminated mahogany. The neck of this instrument is glued to the body and is also made of mahogany. This is a proven construction and combination of woods that guarantees a colourful and balanced sound, plus it gives the instrument the best possible sustain and the solid soundboard adds an absolute new dimension to the sound. The fingerboard, which is made of rosewood, is fitted with 20 frets, the positions are marked with classic dots. The instrument's gauge is measured at 648 mm, the width of the zero fret is 43 mm.

Hardware and tuning

The fingerboard of this model is made of rosewood and is shaped to optimally transmit the vibrations of the strings to the body. It is a standard type where the strings are held in place by pegs. The tuning mechanisms used are of the Die-Cast type and guarantee very good tuning stability. All fitted hardware is chrome plated. The body is covered under the soundhole by a brown pickguard.

Sound pickup is handled by Fishman Presys-II electronics with two-band equalizer and built-in tuner.
