Electro-Voice EKX-15SP is a 15" active subwoofer with DSP unit.
EKX combines Electro-Voice's renowned sound quality with innovation and reliability. All in a compact package suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications. The EKX series is suitable not only for sound engineers, but also for independent musicians, DJs and more. EKX speakers will find use in small to medium sized clubs and are equipped with professional features not common in this price range.
The QuickSmartDSP control unit offers best-in-class workmanship, a distinctive one-button EV user interface and intuitive menu navigation via the LCD display.
The EKX-15SP's high-efficiency, 1300 W Class-D amplifier delivers a peak SPL of up to 133 dB and a frequency range of 40 Hz - 180 Hz via a highly sensitive 15" transducer designed and engineered by EV. Crossover is adjustable at 80 Hz, 100 Hz, 120 Hz and 150 Hz.
Cardioid steering technology allows the output to be directed towards the audience when multiple subwoofers are deployed, but limits on-stage radiation by up to 35 dB.
Intelligent amplifier management relies on a temperature sensor and variable speed fan to ensure superior performance and reliability in demanding conditions. EV's patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) waveguide design ensures accurate and consistent coverage. Large slot ports are tailored for low distortion and excellent bass extension. M20 mounting.
