Eastman T49 V-GB

The Eastman Strings brand was founded in 1992 by Chinese flutist Qian Ni after graduating from the Boston University School of Music. Over the course of three decades, the company's portfolio has grown to include acoustic, semi-acoustic and electric guitars (Eastman Guitars) and with it the brand's fame, so that the company's players include such luminaries as James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth). In the case of Eastman instruments, you can rely on superior craftsmanship, demonstrated by features and techniques such as hand-reduced ribbing or individual tuning of the instrument's soundboard.

The Eastman T49/V-GB is a bay electric guitar in the style of the revered ES-175 "jazz box" bellows, which is sure to appeal to players with high demands for quality craftsmanship and sound.

The body of the guitar is made of laminated maple. A one-piece maple neck with a nice "C" profile is glued to an ebony fingerboard with 20 Medium Jumbo frets. Easy matchmaking at the higher positions of the fingerboard is guaranteed by the lower body cutaway (Florentine Cutaway), while orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by pearl position blocks (Split Blocks).

The neck's Lollar Custom Wound Imperial humbucker provides the guitar with the clean warm and dynamic sound of 1950s PAF pickups that will stand out in jazz and blues. Adjust the character of the sound using the standard controls. The strings are mounted in Gotoh SD90-Relic tuning machines and through an adjustable ebony fingerboard in a metal pickguard. The fine craftsmanship is accentuated by the thin hand-applied lacquer (Antique Varnish) also used on Eastman stringed instruments, double-sided body, fingerboard and F-hole binding in imitation ivory, black lined pickguard, hardware with subtle patina elements (Aged Nickel) and a mother-of-pearl company logo on the headstock.
