Description of product

The Eastman Strings brand was founded in 1992 by Chinese flutist Qian Ni after graduating from the Boston University School of Music. Over the course of three decades, the company's portfolio has grown to include acoustic, semi-acoustic and electric guitars (Eastman Guitars) and with it the brand's fame, so that the company's players include such luminaries as James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth). In the case of Eastman instruments, you can rely on superior craftsmanship, demonstrated by features and techniques such as hand-reduced ribbing or individual tuning of the instrument's soundboard.

The Eastman T484 is a semi-hollowbody electric guitar with a more compact body in the style of the popular ES-339 "thinline" models. This guitar will be appreciated by musicians who find the larger 16-inch wide body of the ES-335/T486 models uncomfortable.

The body of the guitar is made of laminated veneered maple. Glued to the maple neck with a pleasing "C" profile is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by pearl position dots.

Two humbuckers from the renowned Seymour Duncan brand, i.e. a 59 cob 59 and a Jazz neck, with Alnico V magnets and lower output, give the guitar a bright, lively sound with a PAF pickup foley that you'll love in jazz, blues and rock. Adjust the character of the sound using the standard controls. The strings are mounted in nickel tuners and through a Gotoh TOM bridge in a Gotoh GE101A stringing mechanism. The handsome workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided imitation ivory body, fingerboard and headstock binding, black-lined pickguard and mother-of-pearl company logo on the headstock.
