Description of product

The Eastman Strings brand was founded in 1992 by Chinese flutist Qian Ni after graduating from the Boston University School of Music. Over the course of three decades, the company's portfolio has grown to include acoustic, semi-acoustic and electric guitars (Eastman Guitars) and with it the brand's fame, so that the company's players include such luminaries as James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth). In the case of Eastman instruments, you can rely on superior craftsmanship, demonstrated by features and techniques such as hand-reduced ribbing or individual tuning of the instrument's soundboard.

The Eastman AR503CE-SB is a single-cut brass electric guitar. The front of the guitar is made of solid spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated maple. The three-piece maple neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with 20 Medium Jumbo frets.

A Seymour Duncan Seth Lover "vintage output" neck humbucker with an Alnico 2 magnet gives the guitar a sound with the clean articulate highs and warmth of humbuckers for which it is popular among jazz players. Adjust the character of the sound using the standard controls. The strings are mounted in nickel tuning machines and through an adjustable ebony bridge in the stringers (brass/ebony). The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided imitation ivory body, fingerboard and F-holes binding, ebony pickguard and mother-of-pearl company logo on the headstock.
