The Night Wire pedal effect is a harmonic tremolo, i.e. an effect where the signal is split between HP and LP filters and then modulated by an LFO. Night Wire takes the concept of harmonic tremolo a nice step further by allowing you to set the starting point of both filters. The Freq switch offers three different modes - in Manual mode, the starting point is fixed by the Frequency control, in LFO mode the frequency is continuously changed by the LFO (the Frequency control determines the modulation rate), and in Attack mode the filters respond to the dynamics of the pickup's play/strike (the Frequency control works similarly to the Envelope Filter).

The Tremolo section also offers a choice - in Manual mode the speed of the tremolo effect is determined by the Rate control setting, in Attack mode the modulation speed is determined by the dynamics of the playing (the Rate control setting determines the sensitivity), i.e. the bigger the hit to the strings, the faster the modulation. The intensity of the tremolo effect is determined by the Depth control setting, the Level determines the output volume.

The guitar effect switch offers a momentary function in addition to the classic latch on/off mode, the effect is active only while the switch is pressed. The pedal is wired as a true bypass (relay-based switching, no audio signal passes through without a source). A 9V adapter is used for power supply.
