Description of product

The Dunlop Echoplex Delay offers the warm organic sound of the EP-3 tape echo, familiar from many 1960s recordings, in a compact pedal effect body. With a few controls and a completely analogue dry signal path, it gives you a piece of musical history for a fraction of what the original would have cost.

The three pedal controls determine the length of time between repeats of a played motif (delay time 40 - 750 ms), the number of repeats and the output volume of the pedal. The hidden weapon is the Age mode, which simulates the accompanying effects of the gradual aging and aging of the EP-3's tape echo by "aging" the darkening of the tone in the repeats and drawing them out more - you control this effect in the Age mode by adjusting the Volume potentiometer.

Among other features we must mention the possibility of connecting the M199's Tap Tempo switch (delay time up to 4 seconds), setting the mono/stereo mode with the pedal's internal switch (in the basic mono setting), and secondary functions (setting the output signal as WET only, the possibility of changing true bypass to trail bypass, i.e. letting the delay effect decay even after turning the pedal off).

The pedal is wired as a true bypass, so it does not affect the pass-through signal in the off state. The power supply is provided by a 9V battery or 9V adapter.
