Description of product

Dingwall 's NG Signature basses were developed in collaboration with Adam "Nolly" Getgood, multi-instrumentalist and bassist of progressive metal band Periphery. This five-string model in Metallic Black is synonymous with hard and heavy and will fit perfectly into any metal formation.

Adam "Nolly" Getgood needs his bass guitar to deliver a punchy sound that won't get lost in any metal record and can stand up to the toughest gigs. His signature NG series is the embodiment of these requirements. The instruments in this series are inspired by the Combustion models, so they offer similar characteristics and shape, but their bodies are made of alder. The bolted neck is made of five layers of maple and is also fitted with a maple fingerboard. Dingwall uses hybrid manufacturing to assemble its basses, so although the individual components are made in China, the final assembly of the instruments takes place in Canada, where a team of skilled engineers takes care of every detail. This allows Dingwall to offer quality custom basses at an affordable price.

A metal bass should have a properly hard and crisp sound. This is provided here by the three FD-3N pickups, which feature neodymium magnets and give the instrument an aggressive edge. With the four-position switch, you can easily choose the pickup combination that best fits your song sonically. Final adjustments to the sound are then made using the three equalization potentiometers, which allow you to accentuate the desired frequencies. The bass also offers an active and passive electronics switch, so you get the best of both worlds.

Thanks to the multiscale design, each string of the bass has a different menzurra ranging from 864 to 940 mm, ensuring their optimal tension and precise intonation. Combined with Dingwall strings, you get a totally unique, perfectly balanced sound with warm highs and punchy bass that can handle any genre and will stand out in any circumstance.
