A group of enthusiasts from Canada created the Dingwall Guitars brand, which produces quality basses with original design from the best materials. All instruments are made with passion, love, obsession, creativity, pride, and it is all of these values that continue to remain in the instrument after it leaves the shop. Dingwall players include bearded Lee Sklar (Phil Collins, Toto, Jackson Browne), Rob Van Der Loo (Epica), Nathan Navarro (Super Mario) and Adam "Nolly" Getgood (Periphery).
Dingwall instruments are characterized by their distinctive body, pickup placement and variable menza length or slanted frets. Varying the menorah for individual strings balances their tension and greatly improves sonority, legibility and tone quality. The strings are thus balanced with each other. Combustion Series basses are created by combining North American materials and components with Chinese precision manufacturing, which is then carefully controlled at the company's Canadian headquarters. Each instrument undergoes two hours of intensive testing to ensure that only top-quality pieces make it to market.
The Combustion 5 is a five-string bass with a pair of Dingwall FD-3N pickups and an EMG preamp. A comfortable playing experience is then ensured by a Medium Thin C profile neck, five potentiometers and comfortable natural materials to maximize your playing experience.
