The Digitech Whammy Ricochet is a more compact and economical version of the popular modulation effect. In this version, it is a pure pitch-shifter with two switchable Classic and Chords mods, so you can bend single notes or the sound of whole chords.
In the case of the Whammy Ricochet compact box, the expression pedal is replaced by controls and their settings, which determine the form of the pitch-shifting effect. The Pitch knob sets the interval of the pitch-shift effect (2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, Octave, 2 Octaves, Octave + Dry), the Range knob sets the direction of the note/chord bending, the Shift knob sets the speed of the note bending to the set interval after the effect is activated, the Return knob changes to the original pitch after the effect is turned off/bypassed.
Red LEDs inform about the progress and speed of the effect modulation. The Momentary switch can be switched between the classic latching pedal modem and momentary, where the pitch-shifting effect is active only while the footswitch is pressed. The effect is wired as true bypass. The power supply is provided by the included adapter.
