The upgraded version of the Microtubes B7K Ultra + AUX In two-channel preamp/overdrive pedal offers the functionality, versatility and sonic capabilities of the previous versions plus an Aux In 3.5mm stereo input, so you'll be able to play along undisturbed to the tracks playing from your phone or laptop. Of course, the pedal can be loaded via the Micro-USB B port with bass speaker impulse responses (IRs) from the Darkglass Suite freeware database (custom IRs can be loaded into the software), a 3.5mm headphone jack output with cab simulation, and a balanced XLR output with switchable cab simulation and grounding.

In terms of driver design, the Darkglass brand has stuck to a proven concept. Underneath the solid and unobtrusive black construction of the pedal effect lies the raw power of the hi-gain distortion from the B7K effect, with the option of even more detailed settings that every bassist will appreciate. Quality circuitry and components take care of the natural distortion so you don't have to worry about losing any frequencies. Again, you have the ability to shape a thick bass tone with the four-band EQ and four switches that determine the operating frequency range of the Lo Mids (+/- 12 dB at 250 Hz/500 Hz/1 kHz), Hi Mids (+/- 12 dB at 750 Hz/1.5 kHz/3kHz) and the frequency response in the bass and treble. The settings of the Master, Blend, Level and Drive basic controls determine the preamp output volume, dry/wet ratio, processed signal volume and distortion level.

A 9V DC center negative adapter is used to power the preamp/overdrive pedal, battery power is not available.
