The Luminal Booster Ultra pedal from Darkglass offers bass players maximum control over their tone through a combination of a precision parallel compressor and a rich Harmonic Booster. With a six-band EQ, gain reduction indicator and the ability to record up to 7 custom impulse responses via USB, it is an extremely flexible tool for all musical genres. This pedal focuses on a clean, powerful and accurate sound that will enhance your bass line to the max.
The front panel offers multiple controls for detailed customization. An adjustable lowpass filter for a compressed signal, a Blend function for mixing clean and compressed sounds, a Comp control for the amount of compression, a Level control for the compression level after the blend, and a Boost allowing you to add or subtract up to 20 dB. The Character control allows you to choose between 7 impulse responses and add the ideal amount of tonal processing.
The Luminal Booster Ultra also offers Compression and Harmonic Booster placement modes that can be easily switched with a long press of the left footswitch. The Blue and Red modes provide another layer of versatility in tone control, allowing the pedal to handle both subtle tonal adjustments and aggressive sonic experimentation.
In addition to the standard 6.3 mm jack output, the pedal features a balanced XLR output that allows connection to a mic preamp or PA system. There's also Ground Lift, which eliminates ground loop noise, and a USB-C connection for recording impulse responses and controlling other settings. The Luminal Booster Ultra pedal is an exceptionally powerful instrument for bassists who want to be in control of their sound at every level of detail.
