Semi-Acoustic Guitar / HN267781
The Premier range represents the more affordable instruments in the D'Angelico portfolio, but they meet all the quality craftsmanship requirements associated with the brand. Premier SS are semi-hollowbody guitars in a single-cut design.
The PREMIER SS Black Flake's half-bow construction is made from laminated maple and a solid center block. Glued to the maple neck is a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Vintage frets. The neck's narrow C profile ensures smooth finger movement on the fingerboard and a comfortable fingerboard fit, while the fingerboard orientation is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl.
Two Supro Bolt Bucker A2 humbuckers with Alnico 2 magnets optimized for a fifteen-inch-wide semi-hollow body give the guitar a warm, lush sound that will please whether you prefer a clean tone or rockier distortion/overdrive. The instrument will find applications from jazz, blues and fusion to contemporary rock. The character of the tone can be shaped with two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch.
The body of the guitar is balanced by the company's signature Art Deco headstock decorated with a mother-of-pearl inlay and company logo. Stable tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the attachment of the strings through the Graphtech NuBone XL zero fret in the Grover 109 Super Rotomatic and through the TOM bridge in the truss rod. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the body, fingerboard and headstock binding and the five-ply Scalini pickguard.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
