The EXL-1 Hollow Body Single Cutaway Satin Walnut is a single-cut design with a body made of laminated spruce (front) and laminated flamed maple (back and sides). The maple neck is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard with twenty-two Medium-sized frets. The narrow C profile of the neck ensures smooth movement of the fingers on the fingerboard and a comfortable fingerboard, while the position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on the fingerboard surface.
The mini humbucker neck accentuates the natural sound of the body with a more pronounced profile in the mids. The character of the tone can be shaped using the volume and tone shutter potentiometers. The body of the guitar is balanced by a typical Art Deco headstock decorated with the company's mother-of-pearl logo and inlay. The strings are anchored in Grover 109 Super Rotomatic tuning machines and over an ovangkol fingerboard in a Stairstep. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the body, fingerboard and headstock binding and the five-ply Scalini pickguard.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
