D'Angelico Deluxe Series guitars represent the best of the D'Angelico brand. In addition to superior craftsmanship, they boast features previously reserved only for the top-of-the-line D'Angelico limited edition models.
The D'Angelico Deluxe Mini DC Trans Wine is a semi-hollowbody guitar in a double-cut design with a reduced body (14 inches wide - 355 mm). It is sure to please musicians who find traditional lubes/semi-hollowbodies too chunky. The body of the guitar itself is made of laminated mahogany. A lightweight center block reinforces the soundboard and counteracts the undesirable "binding" effect of the bellows.
A rosewood fingerboard made of three pieces of maple and walnut is glued to the neck and fitted with twenty-two Jescar 47/104 frets made of pakfong (nickel silver). The narrow C profile of the neck ensures smooth movement of the fingers on the fingerboard and comfortable fingerboard, while the orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by mother of pearl split-block position blocks.
Two Seymour Duncan Stacked P90 pickups in a soapbar design give the guitar a beautifully clean articulate P90 single-coil sound without annoying accompanying noise. You can adjust its contours using the standard controls.
The body of the guitar is balanced by the company's signature Art Deco headstock adorned with a mother-of-pearl inlay and company logo. Stable tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the attachment of the strings through the bone zero fret in the Grover 509 Super Rotomatic Locking mechanism and through the TOM tailpiece in the truss rod. The guitar's luxurious finish is accentuated by a satin semi-transparent finish, multi-layered body, fingerboard and headstock binding, Scalini five-ply pickguard, ebony potentiometer caps and gold hardware.
The guitar comes in a deluxe hardshell case.
