D'Angelico Deluxe Series guitars represent the best of the D'Angelico brand. In addition to superior craftsmanship, they boast features previously reserved only for the top-of-the-line D'Angelico limited edition models.
The D'Angelico Deluxe DC Satin Honey is a semi-hollowbody guitar in a double-cut design. Its 16-inch-wide body is made of laminated maple. A lightweight center block stiffens the soundboard and counteracts the unwanted "binding" effect of the bellows.
Glued to the three-piece maple and walnut neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Jescar 47/104 frets made of pakfong (nickel silver). The neck's narrow C profile ensures smooth finger movement on the fingerboard and a comfortable fingerboard finish; orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by Mother of Pearl split-block position blocks.
The two Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A4 humbuckers with gold caps offer the beautifully articulate tone of vintage PAF humbuckers, while also having the single-coil character thanks to the push/pull function of the tone-shield potentiometers. You'll appreciate the guitar's sound in jazz, blues, rock and other musical styles.
The body of the guitar is balanced by a typical Art Deco headstock decorated with the company's mother-of-pearl logo and inlay. Stable tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the attachment of the strings via the bone zero fret in the Grover 509 Super Rotomatic Locking mechanism and via the TOM tailpiece in the truss rod. The guitar's luxurious finish is accentuated by a satin semi-transparent finish, multi-layered body, fingerboard and headstock binding, Scalini five-ply pickguard, ebony potentiometer caps and gold hardware.
The guitar comes in a deluxe hardshell case.
