The MR series is Cort's higher quality electro-acoustic guitar series, offering popular dreadnought design, modern features and the ability to sound with quality electronics - all at a very affordable price.
The front of the left-handed MR710F LH NS model is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of ply mahogany. This proven combination of woods gives the instrument a balanced sound with the necessary amount of tonal clarity and warmth. The mahogany neck is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard with twenty frets and positioning dots make it easy to navigate. The lower cutout of the body (Venetian) offers a good match even at higher fretboard positions. The natural acoustic resonance of the wood is enhanced by reduced X ribbing (Advanced Scalloped X) and a thin layer of UV lacquer.
Good sustain and tuning stability are guaranteed by the anchoring of the strings through the saddle and zero frets made of real buffalo bone in the Die-Cast mechanism and the specially shaped ovangkol headstock. Traditional design elements are complemented by an ornate rosette composed of mother-of-pearl and ABS rings, bright binding and a practical pickguard.
The instrument is sounded by a Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup and Fishman Presys active electronics with three-band equalizer, volume control, Phase function and integrated tuner.
