Cort Earth 200F ATV is an electroacoustic guitar of the Orchestra (OM) type with a pleasant vintage touch, which, in line with the brand's philosophy, offers quality workmanship and materials at an affordable price. Playing this instrument will be appreciated by guitarists of all levels.
The guitar's soundboard is made of solid Sitka spruce wood, which has undergone a special heat treatment before assembly (a process called ATV - Aged to Vintage). The result is the sound and look of decades of aged wood, yet it is a brand new model. The back and sides are made of refinished rosewood. This combination of woods gives the instrument a balanced sound with the necessary amount of tonal clarity and warmth.
The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, with positioning dots to make it easier to navigate. The wider neck (45 mm at the zero fret) will suit guitarists who prefer to play with finger technique. The natural acoustic resonance of the wood is enhanced by the reduced X ribbing.
The fit of the strings in the ebony fingerboard with ebony pegs routed through the saddle and the genuine buffalo bone fretboard ensures optimum vibration transmission to the body of the instrument and good sustain. Stability of tuning is ensured by Grover mechanics with 18:1 gear ratio. The appearance of the instrument is enhanced by traditional elements in the form of an ornate ivory rosette, bright perimeter binding and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the instrument's lacquer from scratches.
Sound pickups are handled by a Fishman Sonitone preamp with discreetly placed drivers in the guitar's soundhole and a Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup.
