Cort's KX series is an electric guitar with a modern design. In particular, the KX500 Etched six-string is an obvious choice for players of contemporary styles - from djent to modern prog rock - thanks to its affordable price.
At first glance, the guitar catches the eye with its sandblasted ash top wood grain and Etched Deep Violet finish. Bolted to the mahogany body is a neck composed of five pieces of maple and purpleheart wood. The Ebony Macassar fingerboard, fitted with twenty-four frets and raindrop-shaped position markers, also impresses with its spectacular drawings.
Another piece to the modern puzzle are the Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, which give you a wide range of sound colours in complete tonal clarity without annoying accompanying noise. Both the volume and tone knob potentiometers have a Push/Pull function - so you can switch between two different pickup voicings (Volume knob) and unzip the humbucker coils for pure single-coil character (Coil-Split on the tone knob).
The mounting of the strings in the solid cob (six separate stones) and through the body of the instrument guarantees good sustain. Tuning stability and easy string changes are guaranteed by the company's locking mechanisms.
