Cort's Grand Regal line features guitars in the popular Grand Auditorium shape (sized between the larger Dreadnought and smaller Concert types), offering a full, balanced sound universally suited for fingerstyle and pick playing.
The body of the GA5F-FMH OP is made from visually striking flaid mahogany. The open pore finish improves the resonance of the wood while reducing the weight of the instrument. A 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck. The lower cut of the body (Venetian) offers a good match even at the higher positions of the fingerboard. The natural acoustic resonance of the wood is supported by the hand scalloped X ribbing.
Fitting the strings in a specially shaped ovangkol headstock with ebony pegs and routing them through the saddle and right bone fret ensures optimal vibration transfer to the body of the instrument and good sustain. Stability of tuning is ensured by chrome Die-Cast mechanisms with black pins.
Sound sensing is taken care of by a Fishman Presys preamp with volume control, three-band EQ, built-in tuner and Phase button.
