The Elrick NJS electric bass from Cort is a perfectly balanced combination of timeless design and modern features that will delight any J-Bass enthusiast. The lightweight construction makes the instrument very comfortable to play while minimizing fatigue during extended performances. In addition, this model is equipped with top-notch visual and technical features, including a baked maple neck and fingerboard, Hipshot Ultralite tuning machines, and Babicz FCH4 tailpiece to further reduce weight and increase comfort.
The alder body gives the bass a balanced tone with a subtle boost to the upper midrange, an ideal characteristic for a full, solid body in this wood. Alder has been used since the 1950s on basses from the biggest manufacturers due to its versatility and ability to perfectly support the sound characteristics of the instrument.
The Voiced Tone VTB-ST single-coil pickups perfectly complement the bass's strong, robust sound with their modern clarity, transparency and subtle hint of vintage character. Thanks to the hum-canceling design, they eliminate unwanted noise, which will be appreciated by players who prefer a clear and precise sound without compromise.
The Elrick NJS is equipped with a special Bartolini preamplifier, the same as the original Elrick NJS models made in the USA. This preamp offers a three-band EQ, a two-way push/pull control for selecting the midrange frequencies and an active bypass function. The result is a wide variety of sonic options that will adapt the instrument to any musical style.
