The Cort Core Series is a range of well-crafted electro-acoustic guitars with a solid body construction and a more modest design, where the decorative elements are fully compensated by the natural acoustic sound, good playing qualities and a reasonable price for a solid body guitar. Thanks to the more compact Orchestra (OM) shape, the guitars are suitable for musicians of all physical dispositions and, above all, for fingerstyle playing.

The body of the CORE-OC ABW is made of blackwood. The mahogany neck is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard with twenty frets. A good match on the higher positions of the fingerboard is guaranteed by the lower cut-out of the body (Venetian). The instrument's resonant qualities are enhanced by the hand-reduced ribbing of the top (Hand Scalloped-X) and the Open Pore finish of the body. The strings are anchored via a genuine buffalo bone fretboard and saddle fretboard in the company's Die-Cast movement with black pegs and ovangkol fingerboard.

Easy voicing options are provided by Fishman Sonitone electronics with a Sonicore sub-coil pickup and Volume and Tone controls located in the instrument's soundhole.

The guitar is supplied in a high-quality case (Cort Deluxe Soft-Side Case) that combines the best features of cases with the practicality of padded gig-bags.
