Almost every guitarist has encountered the famous green TS box at some point, and many of us own one. Despite its undeniable qualities, the Italian manufacturer of boutique pedal effects Cornerstone noticed a small "fly" in the form of very little control over the dynamic response, when the resulting sound depends very much on the settings of the machine, and decided to do something about it.
The Cornerstone Antique V3 is not only a more flexible version of the TS pedal, but also an improvement on the original Antique pedal. It is a two-channel TS style overdrive, where the standard setting options known from the original Cornerstone Antique (Normal Mode - Tone, Presence, Volume, Gain, switchable compression) are extended by a separately switchable Hot Mode with two boosters before and after the OD section. Booster and possibly pre-gain/post-gain boost switches are available for many pedal effects, but the Antique V3 offers a pre-OD gain boost and a post-OD volume boost with separate controls. If in the case of the original Antique model we were talking about flexibility, it's doubly true here - the box's services will be appreciated not only by players of classic rock and blues, but also other, quite different, styles.
The stylish design inspired by Italian Vespa motorcycles and scooters can be customised. The pedal effect is wired as a true bypass. A 9V adapter is required for power supply (not included).
