Charvel's Pro-Mod DK24 HSS 2PT CM Satin Shell Pink electric guitar features a Dinky/Superstrat body design.
The body of the guitar is made of alder. The instrument's maple neck and fingerboard were heat-treated before assembly, which makes the wood more stable and gives the guitar an exclusive look (Caramelized Maple). A definite plus for fast players are the rounded edges of the fingerboard, the contoured lower neck, the lower body cutout for easy matchmaking at higher fret positions, and the compound fingerboard radius (12-16 inches), which allows for comfortable riffing at the zero fret as well as comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions.
A Seymour Duncan Full Shred TB-10 passive humbucker with Alnico 5 magnets and a milder output (medium output) provides the guitar with a bright, solid tone with a balanced bass to treble ratio and slightly off-center mids, while two Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 medium output single-coils with Alnico 5 magnets and rewound coils enrich the sound with the feel of the "hotter" Strat pickups (the middle pickup has reversed polarity and windings). The character of the sound can be adjusted using the volume potentiometers and no-load tone shutter.
Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by position dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl and luminescent dots on the side, which give you an overview of where you are, even in darker club environments or playing at night. The strings are mounted across the Graph Tech TUSQ XL zero fret in the company's locking die-cast mechanics and Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo.
