Charvel's Pro-Mod Dinky PM DK24 HH 2PT EB Black electric guitar features a Dinky/Superstrat body design.
The body of the guitar is made of alder. An ebony fingerboard with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets is glued to a neck made of heat-treated "caramelized" maple with graphite bracing and a fast "Speed Neck" profile. The fingerboard orientation is facilitated by imitation mother-of-pearl position dots and luminescent side markers. A definite plus for fast players are the rounded fingerboard edges, contoured lowered neck, lower body cutout for easy matchmaking at higher fret positions, and a compound fingerboard radius (12-16 inches) that allows for comfortable riffing at the zero fret as well as comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions.
The combination of two Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers with Alnico magnets and a milder output signal gives the guitar a clear articulate sound with tight bass and suppressed mids (Full Shred TB-10) as well as a cool blues/rock feel (APH-1). Adjust the character of the sound with the volume potentiometer, no-load tone shield, five-position pickup switch (at positions 2 and 4 of the split-coil pickup configuration) and a mini switch that lets you toggle between series and parallel pickup connections.
The strings are mounted in the company's locking die-cast Gotoh Custom 510 mechanics and tremolo via a Graph Tech TUSQ XL zero fret.
