The Chapman ML3 Semi Hollow Pro Traditional electric guitars feature a semi-hollow single-cut body construction with the typical F cutaway, flashy shimmering metallic finishes and the sound of Seymour Duncan Vintage P90 pickups. These are sonically versatile instruments with a traditional design and a host of modern features ("baked" neck, stainless steel frets, locking tuning machines, "glow-in-the-dark" side dots) that stand out in both "oldies" styles and contemporary music.
The body of the ML3 Semi Hollow Pro Traditional Aventurine Green Sparkle consists of a carved maple top and a semi-hollow body made from exotic perupak wood. The glued neck set deep into the body (set-thru) and the fingerboard are made of heat-treated, or "baked" if you will, maple. Twenty-three Jumbo-size stainless steel frets divide the fingerboard surface, and orientation around the fingerboard is made easier by the distinctive mother-of-pearl inlay on the twelfth fret and the side "glow-in-the-dark" dots, which give you perfect visibility even in the evening or at night. The narrower C neck profile and rounded fingerboard edges also contribute to playing comfort.
The sound character of the Seymour Duncan Vintage P90 pickups with Alnico 5 magnets can be shaped with the volume and tone controls. Good sustain and quick string changes are guaranteed by anchoring the strings through the TusQ zero fret in the Hipshot Grip-Lock Open locking mechanism with an 18:1 gear ratio and through the solid cob through the body.
