Chapman ML2 Pro are electric guitars in single-cut LP shape from the higher Pro series, which with the quality of workmanship, materials and components used will certainly appeal to a wide range of musicians, including the really demanding ones. These are modern instruments fitted with Seymour Duncan humbuckers tuned to the needs of players of contemporary rock and metal styles.
The mahogany body of the ML2 Pro River Styx Black is adorned with a carved maple top, a flamed maple veneer top, and a satin River Styx Black finish. Glued to the "baked" maple neck recessed deeper into the body (set-thru) is a macassar ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo stainless steel frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by a distinctive mother-of-pearl inlay on the twelfth fret and side "glow-in-the-dark" dots, which give you perfect visibility even in the evening or at night. The narrower C neck profile and rounded fingerboard edges also contribute to playing comfort.
Two humbuckers from the renowned Seymour Duncan brand with Alnico V magnets and a milder signal (Medium Output) give the guitar a dynamic sound with a perfectly balanced ratio of aggression and articulation. The character of the sound can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers and a push/pull tone control, where a flick of the potentiometer changes the full humbucker sound to single-coil (coil-split) in seconds.
Good sustain and quick string changes are guaranteed by anchoring the strings through the TusQ XL zero fret in the Hipshot Grip-Lock Open locking mechanism with an 18:1 gear ratio and through the solid cob through the body.
