The Celestion G12-65 guitar speaker, introduced to the music public in the late 1970s, is a more powerful version of the legendary Greenback, and is often described as one of the best speakers for use in 4x12 boxes. With its fast attack and solid bass bottom end, it quickly gained popularity among hard rock guitarists in the early 1980s. With finely tuned mids and defined highs, the sound is aggressive/assertive enough to easily assert itself in the mix, while individual chords and notes don't lose sonic warmth and fullness.
