The Boss SDE-3 is a dual digital delay that offers the authentic sounds of the legendary Roland SDE-3000 Digital Delay rack effect from the 80s in a compact, classic Boss "stompbox" chassis. It offers delay times up to 1600 ms, the ability to create impressive stereo effects by adjusting the relative time delay between delay effects (Offset), advanced stereo control with separate channel and panning mods, and wet/dry signal ratio adjustment for both outputs, SDE-3000-style effect modulation with Rate and Depth controls, delay effect reverb/repeat adjustment using the Hi Cut filter, tap tempo function, or a Carryover On/Off switch to determine if the delay effect will continue to reverberate after the box is turned off or if the signal will be terminated immediately.
A number of other parameters can be controlled in real time via the external expression pedal/footswitch connector. Via the MIDI In jack you synchronize the Boss SDE-3 with the MIDI clock.
The box, like all pedals in current Boss production, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. Power is supplied by a 9V battery or 9V adapter (not included).
