The second-generation RC 505 is an intelligent, highly sophisticated looper designed for singers, DJs and other musicians. It's a compact device that you can always have on hand and easily work with its five stereo loop tracks and built-in effects. Simply plug in a microphone, any musical instrument or other sound source and then just intuitively play with the loops. Of course, there's a USB interface for connecting to your computer, control pedals and a MIDI interface. There's also a phantom-powered preamp for the microphone.

The second generation of the popular desktop looper brings new effect types and the ability to use effects in both the Input FX and Track FX sections simultaneously. Improvements have also been made to the looper's external controllers, which will be especially appreciated by guitarists and keyboard players who have to control their loops with their feet. The rear connector panel has also been expanded, now featuring two mic inputs, two instrument stereo inputs, two expression pedal inputs and three stereo line outputs for the ability to connect to three different destination devices.

This looper has memory for up to 99 slots, each of which can hold 5 phrase and effect settings, while also offering 85 rhythm patterns. Individual loops within the aforementioned 5 phrases can be used separately or simultaneously, and there is also the option to overdub, i.e. layer them. Each loop has its own fader for volume adjustment, its own playback mode and tempo synchronization.

The built-in effects unit contains all the necessary effects, with a large section dedicated to vocoders, effects working with dynamics, sampler effects and other filters, including delay, EQ, compressor, chorus, reverb, octaver and more. For the overall sound there are compressor and reverb. Settings can of course be stored in presets.

As for input interfaces, there are two XLR microphone inputs, mono or stereo 6.3 mm Jack inputs for guitars, keyboards, synthesizers and a 3.5 mm Jack for devices like CD or mp3 players. The USB interface allows you to save recorded loops to or from your computer to the looper. Both the USB and MIDI interfaces can be used in conjunction with DAW software when recording.
