The pedal effects of the Japanese brand Boss 200 series build on the success of the larger models with the 500 label, whose qualities are translated into a smaller, more pedalboard-friendly format. All effects in the series offer top-notch sound thanks to 32-bit/96kHz converters.
The Boss OD-200 Hybrid Drive brings a fresh new wind to ovedrive, distortion and fuzz pedals, so you'll finally have them all together in the body of a handy pedal effect. It offers twelve basic types of the aforementioned effects, whose character can be adjusted at will using the three-band EQ, the standard Level and Drive knobs, and the Param potentiometer, whose function (controlled parameter) varies based on the selected effect type.
In the case of the OD-200 effect, you'll appreciate the multi-function footswitches, where in addition to turning the effect off/on, it offers a Boost function with Pre/Post Boost placement, a handy Noise Gate, and the ability to switch between four internal memories to easily save and then recall your favorite presets.
The OD-200 doesn't lag behind when it comes to external controller interfacing and integration - the pedal's mono input and output is complemented by a connector for connecting an external footswitch/expression pedal and a Midi In/Out, so you can interconnect pedals from the 200 series and control different parameters simultaneously. A micro USB interface is used for software updates.
The box, like all pedals in current Boss production, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. Power is supplied by a 9V adapter (not included) or three AA batteries.
