The Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor is a compact box in typical Boss design, whose services will be appreciated by every guitarist. It will rid you once and for all of the annoying noise and unpleasant feedback that comes with using other pedal effects (distortion/overdrive for example), while not devaluing the natural sound of your guitar and instrument.
The box offers two modes (Mute and Reduction), the Threshold and Decay controls set the level at which it will start working and suppress the signal. In addition to the standard pedal input and output, it offers a Send/Return effects loop into which you can place external effects devices, or a particularly humming box from your pedalboard, to more effectively suppress its noise. The Noise Suppressor, like all current Boss pedals, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. It is powered by a 9V battery or 9V adapter.
