Description of product

The Boss BF-3 Flanger is a compact pedal that will please all lovers of the sound of this specific modulation effect. Of course, we are referring to the fact that flangers are generally not among the most universally used and sought-after boxes, but on the other hand, you never know when, like in a famous Czech comedy, a producer will show up and demand the sound of a flanger from you - and for such cases it is certainly better to have, for example, the Boss BF-3 always with you.

The compact body of the BF-3 offers four flanger effect modes - Standard with a regular flange effect, Ultra adds a more pronounced effect modulation, Gate/Pan offers a flanger with an impressive stereo panoramic effect at the stereo output of the pedal, and in mono a pronounced slicer effect, i.e. a rhythmically short intermittent signal similar to the sound of spinning helicopter blades. The last mod, Momentary, is activated by pressing the pedal switch and offers a classic flange effect, where stepping out of the pedal ends the effect. This function is thus well used e.g. during concerts to highlight one particular passage/riff.

The remaining controls of the box determine the EQ (Res, Manual), the intensity of the effect modulation (Depth) and the speed of its progression (Rate). You can also adjust the rhythmic response of the pedal's effect modulation by using the Tap Tempo function, i.e. holding the switch and then tapping the desired tempo. The box has separate inputs for electric guitar and bass guitar, and the output of the pedal is possible to mono and stereo.

The box, like all pedals from the current Boss production, works in Buffered Bypass mode. Power is supplied by a 9V battery or 9V adapter.
