The RHYTHM DESIGNER RD-6 is the analogue reincarnation of the phenomenal Roland TR-606 drum machine and then some!
Thanks to Behringer, you can once again have the opportunity to try your hand at working with the now retro hardware equipment that was often at the birth of new genres and beat making for various electronic music or hip hop. The Rhythm Designer range brings together compact drum machines that may look subtle, but they really aren't toys, they are fully authentic replicas that also sound great!
The RD-6 provides 8 drum sounds and 16 step sequencerswith the ability to switch up to 32 patterns. The sounds can be boosted with distortion based on the DS-1. Each pattern created can also be chained into a full song of up to 256 bars, giving up to eight and a half minutes of beats in total. Modern times call for a USB connection for syncing and MIDI triggering. This allows the RD-6 to be controlled via your DAW if required, opening up a whole new range of possibilities for working with patters and arranging your tracks.
